part 2/2: A Decade at Gonzaga: Life in the 1950s: Introduction

The 1950s were known for a lot: rock and roll, the Cold War, and the launch of Sputnik, to name a few. The vigor of the 50s did not fail to touch life at Gonzaga. From visits by politicians, construction of new buildings, and the kidnapping of the Sophomore class president, University life was bumping in this era. This exhibit, housed in the Bulldog in Hemmingson Center, aims to capture the magic that life in the 50s had for the Gonzaga community and present it through a collection of photographs and other artifacts.
