Welcome to Gonzaga! We are the instruction team in Foley Center Library. One of our primary collaborations with faculty involves support of your teaching, in particular working with students to meet learning outcome goals related to developing best research practices. Additionally, we are always available to work with your professional development research and information needs.
As you examine the following information about services to faculty, please keep in mind that your librarian faculty colleagues and all library staff are focused on student success and the enrichment of the learning community.
A quick intro to using Foley Library resources.
Avoid common first week hiccups and excuses by placing your course's textbook and assigned readings on reserve at the Foley Library checkout desk!
You can reserve books, articles, photocopies, CDs, DVDs, etc. Students need only to ask for materials using your name at the desk. You specify how long the materials check out for (three hours, one day, etc.) and whether they may be used only inside Foley or are allowed to be taken out of the building.
is your way to impact our student research holdings in your discipline. Your department has a library budget that we use to purchase library resources. However, at the beginning of your employment, anything you request that we purchase in support of your courses and your students' research, we pay for from another budget line. Your departmental budget will not be charged.
If you want to take advantage of this opportunity, please contact Kelly Jenks ( or x3829) or Linda Pierce ( or x3834) and let us know what you would like to order.
Your ZAGCARD is your library check-out card.
Your computer login is your database login (Gonzaga username and password).
Instruction librarians will meet with you to discuss your personal research as well as forming co-teaching partnerships in your courses
