Chat with a librarian 24/7
In addition to our reference desk assistance and our phone, chat, and email services, Foley librarians are available by appointment. You can arrange to meet in person or over the phone to get the help you need!
Foley library offers a variety of services you can access online. Many of these services require unique usernames and password. Here is a little explanation of which systems require which access information.
If you have any questions please let us know! The reference desk is staffed during all open library hours and can be reached at 509-313-5931, or contact us by chat from our library homepage or text message at 509-730-5979.
To access full text databases, or resources such as Films on Demand for video streaming of a huge collection of documentaries, TED talks, and historical film footage, click on the database from the library Databases List and sign in using your Gonzaga username (same as your email without the @zagmail.gonzaga.edu) and password. If you need to update this password, go to the Gonzaga Password Reset page.
Our citation management software, RefWorks, requires a unique logon that you create when you register. The username and password can be anything you select. If you are creating a new RefWorks account, be sure the account creation window says "Create an account at Gonzaga University." This will ensure that you have all the benefits of the RefWorks package provided by Foley Center Library. If you forget your username or password, contact RefWorks to reset by emailing email@example.com. The "Citation and RefWorks" tab of the Library Tutorials guide provides extensive tutorials and guides to using RefWorks and its Microsoft Word plugin, Write-N-Cite.
The study room reservations link brings you into a tutorial that explains how to reserve a study room online. Also included is a link to the Classic Catalog for the reservation. This uses your Student ID as the username and your last name as the password.
Our InterLibrary Loan software, ILLiad, requires a unique logon that you create when you register. The username and password can be anything you select, but we do not recommend using your email address as a username as it is too long for the system to handle. If you have never used ILLiad before, follow the links for “First Time Users” to create your login. If you have used it before, but have forgotten your username or password you can contact the ILL department at 509-313-3878.
