Foley Library User Services Training Guide

Visitor Computers & Pins

Visitor computers are available during established visitor hours.

There are four library computers which are reserved for use by Gonzaga alumni and other visitors to campus. Any use of Foley Center Library computers must be in compliance with the Foley Library Computer Use Policy.

The computers are available the following hours during the semester. Hours may be reduced during holidays and breaks:

       Monday-Friday           7:30 am - 6:45 pm
Saturday and Sunday 10 am - 5:45 pm

Visitors must sign in at the Circulation Desk to receive a password that will allow them to access the visitor computers. There is a clipboard on the far left-hand side of the Circulation Desk. Make sure they sign in (writing their name legibly). Once they are signed in, you may give them one of the visitor passwords that are printed on slips in the circulation desk drawer. These passwords are unique and once used are no longer valid.

Patrons will log into the visitor computers by entering the unique password on the paper you gave them in the field on the visitor computers that says "enter username". Sometimes this confuses patrons, so if they are having trouble logging in, make sure they know which field to type the password into.

Visitor passwords only work on our four visitor computers, so make sure you direct patrons to the correct computers, which are located beneath the sign that says "visitor computers."

Use of the public access computers is limited to one hour per day. Patrons wishing to extend their 60 minute limit must first get clearance from a supervisor.
