FC 101 D/E Room Technology Instructions

1. Touch the small black screen to wake up the system.

2. To use only half the room, select STAND ALONE
To use the entire room select YES, COMBINE

If you do not see the options above, and the room configuration needs changed, power off the system, by touching the power button, and then touch power a second time to power the system off. This will get you back to step 1 above.

3. Once the room configuration is set as desired, select your input source:
Room PC: Desktop on the lectern you are standing at.
*Note when room is combined the second lectern is not usable and will not mirror the content of the primary PC in use.
Lectern HDMI: Select to present from a laptop.
Doc Cam: Select to use the document camera located at the lectern.
BluRay: Select to use the Sony BluRay player in the lectern, Sony remote is available for controlling the device.

Notes and troubleshooting:

  • There are two HDMI cords, one connects to the monitor on the lectern. If you are using a laptop to present on Zoom, connect to this cord to your laptop in addition to the Lectern HDMI so you can use an external monitor for Zoom functions and to see participants without showing them on the room monitors.
  • TV monitors should automatically connect to the system and power on, but if one will not come on try using the Sharp remote to directly power the TV on and select the appropriate input.
  • If the system is not connecting as expected there is a red master power switch near the floor on both lecterns that can be powered off and Picture of red switchback on to reboot the room.
  • When the room is ‘combined’ the second lectern is not usable and will not mirror the content of the primary PC in use.
  • Presentation Remote Clicker is available for checkout at the circulation desk.
  • The Foley Center Library does not provide technical support or room setup, including requests for additional tables and chairs. For technical support please contact IT Classroom Support (5550 option 1). For room setup please contact GUEST Services. The user is responsible for setup, teardown, and returning the room to its original configuration.
