Addressing Mental Health in Children: A Toolkit for Educators: Home

About this Project

Gonzaga's Nursing Program and the Foley Library teamed up to provide health literacy programming for our local community members. We chose to focus our efforts on supporting health literacy in the classroom at Logan elementary.

In addition to providing guest lessons to Logan students on general nutrition literacy, we also recognize the need for more comprehensive programming around health subjects such as body image, bullying, and mental health. We have built this toolkit with our local elementary and middle school teachers in mind, and hope that some of the resources included here will be helpful in addressing some of these issues moving forward.
