DELA Canada - Library Orientation: 2. Library Logins

Library Accounts

Foley Library Accounts

Most Library systems use Gonzaga Single Sign on, so your user name and password are the same as what you use for Canvas or Zagmail. Certain library resources, such as New York Times and Wall Street Journal and some nursing resources (Stat!Ref, BoardVitals, DynaMed) also require you to create a personal account for that resource.

1.  Library Account, Library Search, and Interlibrary Loan

Use your Gonzaga email and password.

  • Library Account: See physical items you have checked out, requests you have placed, and renew items.
  • Library Search: Signing in to Library Search gets you more search results and allows you to place requests for Gonzaga owned items as well as Summit requests for items available in our library consortia, the Orbis Cascade Alliance.
  • Library Databases: Off campus access routes you through our proxy server, which gives you access to our subscription databases.
  • ILL / Interlibrary Loan: Login to your ILL account to request articles and physical items from other libraries, and to download your articles when they arrive (you'll get an email letting you know it is available).

Try it!

  1. Click on Advanced Search under the search box on the Foley Library homepage and sign in at the upper right corner. Start a Library Search and use the Sign In prompt in yellow bar to sign in.
  2. Click on the Library Account Sign In on the library home page.
  3. Click on the ILL/Interlibrary Loan button on the library home page. If you aren't already logged in, you will be prompted to do so.  Click on Create Request and take a look at the different request forms. At the bottom of each form is the User Information, already populated with your name, User ID and email address. Whenever you submit an ILL request you will need to indicate your status and department and a 'Need By Date' - please always select a date at least one week away or the system may automatically cancel your request.

3. My EBSCOhost –  With a My EBSCOhost account, you can save search strategies, set up email alerts, and save  search results in folders. When you login to Ebsco the first time you will automatically get a MyEbsco host account associated with your Gonzaga credentials.
