Primo Library Search is a library catalog plus discovery system to search across many of our databases and the physical collections. When you search Primo you are searching the Gonzaga Libraries: Foley, Chastek Law Library and the Gonzaga in Florence Library in Italy.
You are ALSO searching our consortium partner libraries (request from them via Summit Borrowing), and searching most of our online Databases.
You can limit your searches in Primo by selecting 'facets' from the list of terms on the left.
Watch this video to see how facets can help you limit your results, and then try searching Primo!
When we say database it can have a lot of different meanings. In essence these are online library subscriptions we get through various vendors, and the content can vary. Many databases include full text articles, but some databases are just article citation searches. We also have databases with ebooks, streaming videos, classical music, theater performances and primary sources. If you don't know where to start continue to Research Help by Topic, or you can navigate to the Database list and use the drop down menus to filter by Subjects, or Types.
*We will dive a little deeper into using databases in the Finding Articles section of this guide.
Sometimes referred to as Subject Guides, our Research Help by Topic Guides are curated by our librarians to highlight the best resources for each academic discipline and are a great place to start your research!
