What Does a STEM Librarian Do?

  • Teach classes in the STEM departments how to locate scientific information, including papers, technical documents, and data, and how to evaluate and cite this information in a responsible manner.
  • Purchase books and other materials for the collection.
  • Meet with students and faculty to provide research support for assignments and other research endeavors.
  • Help everyone from students to faculty to navigate the world of scholarly publishing.
  • Advocate for the library and its resources and services to everyone!
