Foley Library Digital Scholarship Lab: Home

Foley Library is excited to announce the opening of the Digital Scholarship Lab (DSL) this Fall—an innovative new space designed to support digital creativity, research, and learning across all disciplines. Open to the entire Gonzaga community, the DSL sits on a spectrum between the NGTB and the more advanced technology hubs on campus, providing a space for entry-level exploration and skill development in a variety of digital technologies and methodologies.

The DSL offers access to specialized hardware and software, including:

  • 3D printers and a Glowforge for laser cutting and engraving
  • Tools for digital mapping, data visualization, coding, and computational text analysis
  • Opportunities for crossovers between digital and analog technology with things like sewing machines and a button-maker.

But the DSL is more than just technology—it’s a collaborative environment where you can get peer support from our skilled student staff and explore digital tools with guidance and training. Whether working on a class project, conducting research, or just curious about digital methods, the DSL serves as a hub for resources and support.
