If you are a distance learner at Gonzaga, you may be located close to a Summit institutions, which may be helpful in getting the materials you need. This guide will introduce you to some of the opportunities available to you. This list of Summit libraries can help you find a Summit library near you.
You can return items borrowed from a Summit institution to any Summit library. This includes items you have borrowed directly from Gonzaga, as well as items you have borrowed through Summit that have "Summit Orbis Cascade Alliance" at the top of their paper book strap. *please note: if an item you borrowed from us has a paper book strap with the Foley Library logo at the top, you must return this item directly to Foley Library. These items are ILL books, and cannot be returned to other Summit libraries.
If you have an active student, staff, or faculty account with Foley library, you are eligible to open a "visiting Summit patron" account at any Summit library. You can open this account by visiting the library you wish to borrow from. You will be asked to log in to your Gonzaga library account to demonstrate that you have an active account. We recommend reviewing policies and access hours at the library you plan to visit. Additionally, you can use your visiting patron account to request Summit items to be delivered to that library for you, including items in the Foley Library catalog. This may get the items to you faster than requesting through your Gonzaga account and having us mail the items to you.
