Voices of the Women of Vatican II

Voices of the Women of Vatican II is part of The Spirit of Vatican II, a new series presented by the Theological Resource Committee of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary (US-Ontario Province) in honor of the 50th Anniversary of the opening of the Second Vatican Council.

Sr. Mary Garvin began her first teaching assignment 50 years ago, when Vatican II opened. In her obituary of Sr. Mary, Sr. Kathleen Ross observes, "One of the last projects Mary engaged in was the Vatican II 50th Year video series. She was the anchor in the first video, and true to form, utilized a "readers' theatre" approach to share her insights on the documents of Vatican II and the experiences of women at the Council."
