History (World)

Open Education Resources (OER) are teaching and learning materials, like textbooks, learning objects, or courseware, which carry a license allowing them to be freely accessed, changed, and redistributed.

OER take the financial burden of buying the materials off students, and allow the professor to edit or tailor the materials to their classes' needs. For more information about OER, see the OER guide.

The resources below are intended to be a starting point for finding history OER. If you'd like one-on-one assistance locating OER for your specific course, please contact your liaison librarian.

When evaluating OER for your class, we recommend using an OER-specific rubric, such as the examples on this page.
