Services for Distance Students

Foley Library offers research help, study space, and resources to the Gonzaga community.  However, here are a few of our resources that are especially helpful for students studying online.

  • Virtual research appointments with a librarian
Schedule an online one-on-one research appointment with one of our liaison librarians using our online booking system
  • Research Help by Topic (Study Guides)
Research Guides are curated by our liaison librarians, they will help you find the best library resources for your field.
  • Databases
Foley offers hundreds of subscription Databases that are available remotely. Our databases offer full text articles, streaming videos, music, and subject specific technical resources.
  • Primo Library Search
Primo functions as our library catalog, but also serves a search portal to many of our databases. From Primo you can search for books, articles, movies, and more, place holds for library materials to be mailed to you, or request a book from one of our Summit partner libraries.  Learn more about this service on our Summit guide.
  • Interlibrary Loan
Interlibrary Loan is a system of lending between libraries, you can request articles and books not available at Foley to be sent from another library.  Articles are sent electronically and usually arrive within 1 business day, though we do ask you allow a week for requests.  Books take a bit longer for shipping but we can mail them to distance learners that live more than 35 miles from campus.
